Bio:

Hi, my name is Matt Ross. I am 31 years old and reside in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania. I have been married to my beautiful wife Toni for seven years. I have one daughter, Jordan (6). I have been employed as a Procurement Forester with Allegheny Wood Products, Inc. for the past five years. I began tournament bass fishing seriously in 2004. Prior to that, I fished every once in a while a tournament here and there but nothing serious. I joined the Somerset Bassmasters in 2004. After fishing at the club level for a season, I began fishing the Fishers of Men National Tournament trail as well as club tournaments. My nephew (then age 11) and I began to fish the Fishers of Men trail. Our first year fishing the trail, we earned top adult/jr team and a spot at the East Regional Championships. We have earned the top adult/jr team as well as a spot to the East Regional Championships every year since then. This year my nephew and I fished the Fishers of Men "Legacy Series". We finished 5th in both of the tournaments and as a result 5th for the year and a spot at the "Legacy Series" Nation championships. I thank God he blessed me with a wonderful wife who enjoys bass fishing as much as I do. As a result, I am able to fish 3-4 days a week from April through November. (generally December through the first of April our lakes are iced over) The lakes and rivers I fish offer a variety of different fishing techniques. Most of my time is spent fishing a Jig-X weedless jig in and around the grass & docks of various local lakes. I do however enjoy fishing a Jig X football head jig in one of the clear, deep, rocky lakes or throwing a tube X tube on one of the 3 rivers around Pittsburgh. As you can read, the fishing in the western part of Maryland/PA is very diverse, as it is in many places. That is what makes the JIG -X line so perfect. Their line of baits are as diverse as the fishing techniques we employ to fish the different lakes and rivers around the country. I would love to someday advance in my fishing career to the BASS or FLW tour level. But, until then, I am just thankful God has blessed me with the opportunity to fish as much as I do. Drop me a line if you have any questions for me, or need any information concerning any lakes/rivers in the western Maryland/Pennsylvania area. Thanks
