My name is Chris Huffine. I am a 37 year old North Carolina native. I currently reside in Raleigh, NC with my wife Heather (who is carrying our 1st child expected to arrive in the summer of 2008!) and our boxer "Crash". I've had two passions in life - bass fishing and hockey. Fortunately, I'm able to have a job that allows me to "indulge" in one of them on a daily basis. I am the video coach for the NHL Hockey Team, The Carolina Hurricanes. I've been with the club for the past 10 years and was involved in hockey at the amateur level for about 6 years prior to that. The summer of 2006 I was fortunate to be able to combine both passions. I had the unbelievable honor to fish with The Stanley Cup after winning the championship, right here on Falls Lake! Although the hockey season limits my time on the water to the summer months, I am fishing every free moment I have. I try to take advantage of as many of the local "working man" tournaments as possible. Last summer I was fortunate to be selected to be an observer for the Bassmaster American Tournament on High Rock Lake as well as write a blog for Bassmaster Magazine during the event. Ironically, it was there that I met Jerry with Vertical Lures and began my journey down this road. I hope to be as involved as much as my schedule allows in the upcoming "fishing season". Only time will tell - come June of '08 you could see me on the water competing in an ESPN B.A.S.S. event, or hopefully you'll see "Stanley" on the water with me one more time!
