I started fishing at a young age and over the years my desire for the outdoors has been like a fire that can not be put out. I spend every hour of every day planning for that next moment on the water. My desire has blossomed into bowhunting, trapping, upland bird hunting, predator calling. If you can think of an outdoor sport involving hunting or fishing then I have participated. As a full-time taxidermist, I still find the time to compete in bass tournaments which I have done since 1994. As I became more involved with the competition side of fishing, my desire grew even stronger as I started to realize that I was getting paid for what I enjoy doing and proved that with different tactics, I could compete against guys that had been doing it allot longer. At that point I learned that I needed to start pressing onward toward my dream. The dream of using my business background to help promote sponsorship. I was searching for companies who had products that were quality products that I would personally use when I contacted Vertical Lures. I have yet to find a lure manufacturer that can come out into today's market with the design and ideas put into a lure like Vertical Lures has done. I can honestly say that I have turned down opportunities to represent other companies because I cannot stand behind something that I will not use myself. As tournament anglers know, we spend countless hours planning our strategies, sorting tackle, studying lake maps, changing line, watching the weather, etc. We are not going to put money on the line with cheap tackle and take a chance. Vertical Lures has something you will not get and that is cheap products.
